An update…

So, it’s been a while since I blogged, so it’s pretty much a guarantee that this post will be more journally than bloggy. I did mean to blog about my tax money funding an ex-Hitler Youth, AIDs spreading, homophobic, paedophile protector representative of a sect of a religion I have less than no interest in coming to visit the group of people that I don’t see the point of in this country (aka the Pope coming to visit the Royal family) but I was too lethargic to even do that. Something is clearly wrong there.

I am not well. Again. My cervix has decided it hates me, which doesn’t overly please me. I’ve been waiting 3 weeks so far for a hospital appointment for them to cauterise me but have still yet to hear anything. I am tired and faint all the time. At first I thought I was anaemic, but after a blood test (where it took three attempts for my body to decide to let the blood leave my body) it turns out my iron levels are high enough to be in the men’s range. Not bad for a vegetarian! So, the doctor has no idea what’s wrong with me. Fun times.

I have two job interviews this coming week as my current job is due to end around the end of October. So fingers crossed at least one of them goes well. Preferably the permanent one.

Other than that, my life is full of the usual love life complications where I have little to no idea what’s going on, my depression is currently being eclipsed by my constant need to sleep, apart from the non-stop crying sessions which are becoming more frequent again and, as always, my friends are keeping me going.

To remember: As I’ve now lost another friend, and my first lecturer, this is a little moment for me to remember three beautiful people who have gone this year, far before their time.

Tom Goodrich, who will forever be remembered, loved and missed. One of the very few people who no one has a bad word to say about. A beautiful soul who didn’t belong in this time, who belonged to the past and simpler, more rewarding times.

Tom Navaro Bedding, murdered in Spain, may your murderers be found, and I hope to whatever powers that be, that they regret so much taking away one of the most beautiful, genuine and happy people I’ve ever had the pleasure to meet.

Carol Moran, for being an inspiration and making archaeology the perfect course for me. You lived your life to the full, you saw and uncovered some amazing things. You will never be forgotten.

All gone far too soon. All wonderful, unforgettable, beautiful people. I am blessed to have known you. Rest in peace, may you walk by the Goddess in clear waters.

[...] because tomorrow will be the first anniversary of Tom’s murder (brief mention of him in a post from last year). Still no update on his murder(s?) being found. Or of the Spanish authorities actually doing [...]
